- Visiting Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Tuesday that he had reached common ground with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha during a bilateral meeting in Bangkok in regard to strengthening Asean so that the grouping is better placed to face new regional challenges. “We both recognise the need to strengthen Asean centrality in the emerging regional architecture,” Duterte told a joint press conference after the meeting at Government House.
