Companies from Singapore and China will have greater access to each other's markets, especially in services trade, e-commerce and environmental protection areas, after the upgraded China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement took effect on Wednesday. The upgraded version is projected to continuously enhance the well-being of businesses and people in the two countries and press ahead with the building of an open world economy, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Tuesday.
