Asia Pacific Pathways to Progress Foundation, Inc. was honored to accept the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Institutes for Strategic and International Studies (ASEAN-ISIS), in a simple handover ceremony organized by Myanmar ISIS. ASEAN-ISIS is a longstanding network of think tanks across Southeast Asia that has actively contributed to policy-oriented research and dialogues on regional affairs.

Myanmar ISIS Chairman U Nyunt Maung Shein officially handed over the duties of ASEAN-ISIS Chair to the representative of the Philippines, Pathways’ Research Fellow Mr. Lucio Blanco Pitlo III, on 13 December 2018. He received a congratulatory letter upon the assumption of the Office of Chair of ASEAN ISIS for 2019 on behalf of Pathways’ President Dr. Aileen San Pablo Baviera.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from ASEAN ISIS think-tanks from Malaysia (Chiew-Ping Hoo), Thailand (Pongphisoot Paul Busbarat) and Laos.
