Photo shows Chinese scholars and researchers at the farewell dinner organized by APPFI and hosted by Mr. Carlos Chan, special envoy of the Philippines to China. In attendance were several board members of APPFI, including its chairman Raphael Lotilla and directors Henry Lim, Wifrido Villacorta, Jameson Ong, and Johnny Tioco. Also in photo are Director Claro Cristobal of the Foreign Service Institute, as well as Chito Sta. Romana and Teresita Ang See, both of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies.

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Asia Pacific Pathways to Progress Foundation, Inc. in support of  the University of the Philippines Office of the President and the Center for Integrative and Development Studies, helped organize a 10-day Seminar on Philippine Studies for Chinese Researchers last August 17 – 26, 2015 held at GT Toyota Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman.

APPFI Chairman Raphael Lotilla and President Aileen Baviera were both invited to a workshop co-organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Jakarta and China’s National Institute for South China Sea Studies, titled “Partnership for Regional Peace: Operationalising ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in Southeast Asia.”. The workshop was held in Jakarta on 14-16 September 2015, co-chaired by Mr Jusuf Wanandi for CSIS and Dr Wu Shicun for NISCSS.
