Chinese-Filipino Teresita “Tessy” Ang-See is an academician, writer, and social activist. She has taught Chinese studies at leading universities and has written and co-authored more than 16 books on the Chinese in the Philippines. In 1987, with young professionals and businessmen, she founded Kaisa Para Sa Kaunlaran, a cause-oriented NGO of Chinese Filipinos who refuse to be bystanders but who fully participate in all events that shape the Philippines as a nation. She was former President of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies and the International Society for the Study of Chinese Overseas. Ms. Ang-See is also an Executive Trustee of the Kaisa Heritage Foundation which houses Bahay Tsinoy, museum of Filipino-Chinese cultural history with an attached research and data bank center, library, and photo archives.
