SL Agritech president and Sterling Group founder Henry Lim Bon Liong received the Order of Lakandula for his significant contributions to Philippine society as a businessman, leader and philanthropist.
Lim, who heads the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., was conferred the Order of Lakandula by President Duterte in Malacañang Tuesday.
The Order of Lakandula is one of the highest honors given by the Philippine government to an individual who displayed leadership, prudence, fortitude and courage in the service of his people.
FCCCI, meanwhile, pledged to donate 700 new public school buildings to poor rural communities.
