Ms. Elenita M. Leus is the head of the International Technology Cooperation Unit of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) since 2001.  Her functions include planning, assessment and crafting of policies in the conduct of international science and technology cooperation.  Her main task is to establish implementing mechanisms for cooperation under bilateral, regional multilateral or institutional arrangements. From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Leus served as the China Desk Officer.  She oversees all matters relating to Ph-China S&T relations consisting of projects and activities including the holding of high level meetings between the two countries. Ms. Leus is currently the head of the DOST’s APEC National Secretariat.  During the 2015 Philippine hosting of APEC, she was actively involved in the national hosting of the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) and the High Level Policy Dialogue on S&T in Higher Education. Ms. Leus holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Far Eastern University.
